Problem

An independent film festival needed a visual identity that worked on raw concrete walls and OLED displays with equal power.

Solution

A hybrid analog-digital system: silkscreen posters, offset tickets with silver foil, a PWA web app and digital tickets — all sharing a single design system.

Result

850+ tickets sold, 3 days of festival, 12 films in competition. An identity that lives as much on paper as it does on screen.

01 — The Concept

A festival that lives between the street and the screen. Between the poster on the concrete and the digital ticket.

OMBRA is not just a festival. It's a hybrid experience that fuses the raw matter of offset printing with the precision of digital design. A visual identity designed to exist at the same time on concrete walls and OLED displays.

The challenge was to build a visual system with the same punch, both on the silkscreen street poster and on the mobile web app for browsing the program. High-contrast black and white, a single metallic accent (silver foil / digital neon), brutal, uncompromising typography.

OMBRA street poster campaign
Analog

Poster
Street

Three minimalist black-and-white posters pasted on a brutal concrete wall. The campaign lives on the street, blends into the urban texture, speaks the language of the city.

Every poster is designed to work from 10 meters away as much as it does up close. The typography is carved, not decorated. The silver foil is the only betrayal of the monochrome.

Heavy paper, raw texture, a single strip of hot silver foil. The ticket is an object to collect, not to throw away.

Tote
Bag

Raw canvas, one-color silkscreen, no visible signature. The tote bag completes the festival's analog system: an object that lives off-screen, wears with use, becomes part of everyday life for whoever lived it.

Same visual identity, same discipline. The OMBRA logo is printed in white on black canvas. No effects, no ornaments. Only what's needed.

Web App
Mobile

A progressive web app (PWA) to browse the program, filter by day and find your screening room inside the industrial warehouse. Dark mode, native gestures, obsessive performance.

The analog design system translates into pixels: same contrast, same brutal hierarchies, same absence of color. The metallic accent becomes a digital neon #E8E4DE.

OMBRA former industrial warehouse
Location

Former
Industrial

A former industrial warehouse converted into an independent cinema hall. Raw concrete, exposed beams, a large screen emerging from the dark. The architecture is part of the experience.

The web app includes an interactive map to navigate between floors: Room A (first floor), Room B (ground floor), Room C (basement). Every space has its own acoustics, its own light, its own soul.
